Right first off the BT nitemare ended after 4 months of hell, 6 engineers and over 50 hours of fone calls!! Turned out all that was causing the problem was a defective master socket fitted by the BT engineers that installed the fone line on day one!!!! Now I’m happy with a 4M connection…well i say happy 
seems BT have started capping us now from 6PM til midnight..no mention of it in their usage policy or in the terms and conditions on signup..supposed to be unlimited but it seems that we all seem to go from whatever the connection is, for example mine is 4M, to about 500k until midnight. Now during these magical hours the BT speedtest site wont work! What a supprise there!!

BT foned me this morning and told me i’d been put on a new card at the exchange and this would fix my problems…nothing changed as yet!

well as Feb draws to a close, ADSLMAX is still out performing my 56k modem…but only just!
Just arranged with BT wholesale for engineer #5 to come out and wave a stick angrily at my socket! I actually received my first bill the other day, for dec 11 to feb 10 £180 HAHA thats £60 a month for 0.13M connection….
Anyway OFTEL announced this weel that ISPs are no longer allowed to withhold your MAC address allowing you freedom to migrate to whichever company you like, so BT..this really is your last chance!

the speed lasted til sunday…i came home to 28db noise 300 sync 
this happened last sunday too! so next week im gonna turn the router off sunday while im at home…

Well he’s just turned up a day late, and he has gone straight up the pole 
He told me the last thing that needs doing is change the cable from the pole to our house, which is what i told them 3 engineers ago!!!

Well nearly…it was about 3 days after engineer #3 that my speed finally went from 135kb to 2Mb 
yay i thought it was all over..but NO! next day 1 Mb then 2 days at 512kb and now today im back on 135kb again… Bring on engineer #4…
